I gotta tell ya, them folks at Fisher sure know how to
equip us gold prospectors! I see you bought one of
Fisher’s Gold Prospecting Kits! That’s a dog goned
smart move! The Fisher Kits come with all sorts of
pannin’ and prospectin’ tools that will make you purt
near ready for anything!
You see, when you’re a huntin’ for that wonderful
yellow stuff, sometimes you have to dig it out of some
rock…sometimes you’re a pannin’ it out of cricks and
streams. Them Fisher people make tools for all of that!
Where did all that gold in them creeks and streams
come from? Well, it worked its way out of rock! Then
the water in them creeks worked it kinda like a big ol’
sluice, separatin’ it out. That’s the stuff we use the
Fisher Gold Pans for! If you’re like ol’ Yukon Dick
though, you’re gonna want to go to the source
sometimes! That means using the pick, tweezers and
crevice tool (available in the Fisher Hardrock Pro Gold
Prospecting Kit) to dig it out for yerself! Sure…it’s a
lotta work, but Woooweee it can be worth it when
you hit a vein of that beautiful yeller stuff!!
Where can you find hard rock gold? The best place to
look is where folks have already been mining. Nobody,
not even Yukon Dick can get it all! There’s still
“Mother Lodes” just a waitin’ to be found out there at
old mining sites! Ol’ Yukon has found rich gold veins
just inches away from where other Miners have been
a diggin’! They had already done most of the work for
me by movin’ tons of dirt and rock!
So, there you go! With a Fisher Prospecting Kit, you
are ready for just about any kind of gold huntin’ you
may wanna do! Have fun…but stay outta my sites! :)
First, fill your pan about 1/2 full of gravel. Next you
sink that pan deep enough in the stream so it’s just
below the surface. Alright! Here’s where the fun
starts! Start shakin’ that pan several times, back and
forth and side to side…not too hard now! Don’t want
that gold to fall out do ya!
If your kit includes a classifier, place it over your Fisher
pan to sift the dirt as you fill that pan.
Time to switch off now…start movin’ that pan in a
circular motion…you’ll have the water and pan
material goin’ round and round in your pan. This
makes the dirt, sticks, leaves and other stuff start to
separate from your gravel. You can start pickin’ out
the leaves and sticks…just make sure you’ve washed
‘em good first. This is also when you want to start
gettin’ the big rocks out of there…make sure you
don’t toss no gold nuggets! Now, keep repeatin’ the
shaking side-to-side, back-and-forth step and the
circular motion steps…What you’re doin’ here is
separatin’ your pan materials by weight…your heavy
materials (hopefully with that GOLD!) are settlin’ to
the bottom of yer pan…
