Faye: I really enjoy working with the Bowens Fresnel 200.
This modifier is definitely in regular use in the studio, and is
the one light modifier that I would not be without.
The set-up for this image was really simple; it’s something
that anyone can do. I placed a single Gemini 500Pro up
high above the model, at a 45º angle. The Fresnel, when
used at this angle, allowed me to create those wonderful,
deep shadows.
The Fresnel is an asset to any studio, it can enhance even
the most simple of portraits; you can instantly turn a boring
head-and-shoulders style picture into such a romantic
feeling shot without even trying.

Universal Spot Attachment
This 200mm Fresnel lens produces a
Hollywood-style classic light unique to
Fresnel spots.
A built-in iris gives very tight control of
the light pool, making it ideal for
product photography.
It is also great for classic portraits and
for precise control in commercial work.

patterns, masked shapes and cut-outs
on the background or onto your subject.
It can also be used to tightly light parts
of your shot projecting a spot as small
as 5cm (2”) from a distance of 90cm (3’).

size (6.6cm / 2.6”) gobos.

When precision, pin-point control over the
speed and direction of air-flow is needed, a
fan simply will not do.
You need a Jetstream, Bowens industry-
standard professional wind machine.
The cylindrical design of the Jetstream wind
machines allow you to create a ‘tube’ of air
which means you can point the air anywhere
you need it without disturbing another part
of your set – this is not possible with a
regular fan.
The volume of air-flow can be varied from
gentle breeze to intense bluster and beyond
with control from either the on-board digital
control panel or via a Gemini infra-red
remote control. The remote control has
eight unique IR channel settings allowing
you to control Jetstreams individually or in
banks to create different effects.
The Jetstream can be placed on the floor
and angled to suit or mounted onto any 5/8”
support stand or ceiling track system.
