When there is an active outdoor
reset condition, the set point
will be a calculated value
(CSP) based on the outdoor
reset settings. The example in
gures 41 and 42, shows that
the Outdoor Air Temperature is
42°F. Based on this, and without
a call for DHW, the set point
(CSP) is 160°F. As the outdoor air
temperature increases, the CSP
decreases.
8.D.3 Outdoor Reset
Outdoor reset adjusts a boiler’s setpoint based on outdoor air temperature. This is for boilers only, and is not
used for domestic water. The Outdoor Parameters Screen allows the adjustment of the following parameters:
• Enable/Disable – Enables and disables the outdoor reset functionality.
• Maximum Outdoor Temperature – The outdoor temperature at which the unit will use the minimum water
temperature as the set point.
• Minimum Outdoor Temperature – The outdoor temperature at which the unit will use the maximum water
temperature as the set point.
• Maximum Water Temperature – The maximum boiler outlet temperature based on the Minimum Outdoor
Temperature.
• Minimum Water Temperature – The minimum boiler outlet temperature based on the Maximum Outdoor
Temperature.
