When there is an active outdoor
reset condition, the set point
will be a calculated value
(CSP) based on the outdoor
reset settings. The example in
gures 41 and 42, shows that
the Outdoor Air Temperature is
42°F. Based on this, and without
a call for DHW, the set point
(CSP) is 160°F. As the outdoor air
temperature increases, the CSP
decreases.
8.D.3 Outdoor Reset
Outdoor reset adjusts a boiler’s setpoint based on outdoor air temperature. This is for boilers only, and is not
used for domestic water. The Outdoor Parameters Screen allows the adjustment of the following parameters:
Enable/Disable – Enables and disables the outdoor reset functionality.
Maximum Outdoor Temperature – The outdoor temperature at which the unit will use the minimum water
temperature as the set point.
Minimum Outdoor Temperature – The outdoor temperature at which the unit will use the maximum water
temperature as the set point.
Maximum Water Temperature The maximum boiler outlet temperature based on the Minimum Outdoor
Temperature.
Minimum Water Temperature The minimum boiler outlet temperature based on the Maximum Outdoor
Temperature.
