Insertthemaleendofthestraightpipeorelbowintotheflangedgasketed
endofthePVCadapter.Pushthepipeorelbowintotheadapterusingatwisting
motiontofullyinsertthepipeintothegasketinsidetheadapter.




WARNING
Make sure pipe sections are fully inserted into the PVC adapter and/or gasketed end of Centrotherm fitting.
Insertion depth is no less than 2 inches.

Step5:Centrothermsuppliedsupportbracketsmustbeusedtosupportthepipesections.Theventpipesectionsmust
besupportedaminimumofevery5feet(1.5meters)ofverticalrunorevery3feet(1meter)ofhorizontalrunofpipe.
Consultlocalcodesforadditionalrequirements.Inaddition,supportbracketsmustbeinstalledonbothsidesofelbows
usedintheventingsystem.

Forhorizontalsectionsoffluepipe,thepipemustbeinstalledwithaslightupwardslopeofapproximately5/8inchper
foot(5.6cmpermeter)towardthewaterheater(asrecommendedbyCentrotherm)toallow condensatetodraininto
thecondensateelbow.

PowerVentModels:
Topreventcondensatefromaccumulatingintheexhaustblower,installthehorizontalventpipewithadownwardslope
towardtheventterminalof5/8inchperfoot(5.6cmpermeter)ofhorizontalventpipe.Anoptionalcondensatekitis
availableforresidentialpowerventmodelsorateefittingwithacondensatedrainloopmaybeusedoncommercial
powerdirectventmodelstopreventcondensateaccumulationin
theblowerforlongverticalrunsofventpipe.Referto
