The combination of label liner, adhesive, substrate and topcoat provide a professional label’s features, resistances, capabilities and durability. 1 The topcoat gives the label its colour and finish, receives the print, and increases resistance against weathering, flames, chemicals or heat. 2 The substrate gives the label its form and provides tensile properties such as strength and flexibility and physical properties such as chemical and temperature resistance.
