• The drop down list for Duplex operation allows users to choose the desired RS422/485 operations

mode.

• Select ‘RS422/485 full-duplex mode’ for full duplex communications

• Select ‘RS485 half-duplex autogating mode’ for half duplex communications

• Select ‘Transmit only’ to just transmit communications

• Select ‘Receive only’ to just receive communications

• Select ‘Transmitter and Receiver both disabled’ for no communications

Note: A RS232 card was used during this example but it is the same for RS422/485 cards.

• Double clicking a card entry under the “Multi-Function Adapters”, in Device Manager will display

general properties for the selected card.

• Click on the serial Solutions tab (for a PCI Lynx 8 port) will display:
