CAUTION: G2 1/4 TURN VALVE: DO NOT
SWEAT WITHIN 12 INCHES OF THE VALVE.

USING A SOLID BRASS CONE DESIGN

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
• Be sure stub-out and riser are square, round and
free of burrs.
• Overtightening can cause product to crack and fail.
See more detailed instructions below:
COPPER:
• For use with type L or M copper only.
• A drop of oil or thread sealant will make tightening easier.
• If using a drop of oil or thread sealant, be sure that threads
are clean of any debris and that sealant is also free of any
metal debris. DO NOT USE a “PUTTY” or gasket type material.
• Tighten 1/2 turn after nut begins to take hold or “bite”.
PIPE THREAD:
• Apply thread sealant to threads of nipple only.
SWEAT VALVES
• Before soldering, open stop. Do not put ame on handle.
After soldering, let cool before closing.
PEX:
• BARBED: Valve should be assembled in accordance with
the instructions provided by the crimp tool manufacturer.
• COMPRESSION:
– On 3/8 IN.O.D. and smaller, use plastic compression ring.
– On larger than 3/8 OD: use brass compression ring with
stainless steeltube insert.
To install, hand tighten, then add an additional 1-1/2 to
2-1/2 turns with wrench.
SOLVENT WELD (CPVC):
• USE ONLY CPVC CEMENT OR AN ALL-PURPOSE CEMENT
CONFORMING TO ASTM F-493 OR JOINT FAILURE MAY
RESULT.
• Assemble valve per solvent manufacturer’s instructions.
PRECAUCION: LLAVE DE CONTROL G2 _ VUELTA: NO
SOLDE MÁS CERCA DE A 12 PULGADAS DE LA LLAVE.
PRECAUCION: ALGUNAS FRACTURAS PUEDEN
DESAROLLARSE CON EL TIEMPO, SI SE USA CON
CONECTORES
QUE INCLUYAN UN DISEÑO DE CONO DE LATÓN RÍGIDO,
EL FABRICANTE NO ASUME NINGUNA RESPONSABI
LIDAD POR FALLAS QUE SE DEBAN A UNA INSTA
LACIÓN INAPROPIADA.
INSTRUCCIONES GENERALES:
• Asegúrese de que la salida de tubería y el tubo de abasto
estén alineados y libres de rebaba.
• Apretar demasiado puede causar que el producto se
quiebre y falle. Vea mas detalles en las instrucciones abajo:
COBRE:
• Para uso con cobre tipo L o M solamente.
• Una gota de aceite o sellador de rosca, hará el apretar la
llave mas fácil.
• Si utiliza una gota de aceite o sellador de rosca, asegúrese
de que las roscas estén limpias de escombros y de que el
sellador también esté limpio. No utilize sellador tipo
“plastilína” o juntas.
• Apriete _ vuelta adicional, después de que la tuerca
empieze a agarrar.
Rosca del tubo:
• Aplique sellador de rosca solamente a las roscas del nipple.
Válvulas para soldar:
• Antes de soldar, abra la Llave de Control. No ponga amas
en la manija. Después de soldar, deje enfriar antes de
cerrar la Llave de Control.
PEX:
• Espigado: La Llave de control debe armarse de acuerdo
con las instrucciones proveidas por el fabricante de la
herramienta de encrespadura.
• COMPRESION:
– En Llaves mas pequeñas de 3/8 de pulgada D.E., utilize
el anillo de compresión.
– En Llaves mas grandes de 3/8 de pulgada D.E., utilize el
anillo de compression con el inserto de acero inoxidable.
Para instalar, apriete con la mano y después, apriete 1-1/2
a 2-1/2 vueltas adicionales con una Llave.
SELLO (SOLDADURA) CON SOLVENTE (CPVC):
• UTILIZE CEMENTO PARA CPVC SOLAMENTE. SI USA UN
CEMENTO PARA TODO-PROPOSITO, ASEGURESE DE QUE
CUMPLA CON LA NORMA ASTM F-493, DE OTRA MANERA,
LA INSTALACION PODRIA RESULTAR EN FUGAS .
• Arme la válvula de acuerdo a las instrucciones proveidas
por el fabricante del solvente.
