12.2.3 Exchanging the flow boiler

The flow boiler serves as a reservoir for hot water.
It contains the heating element that heats the
water.
[ A ]~ interior of the mechine may be
~ very hot. Allow the machine to cool down
sufficiently.
. Take the power off the machine by pulling the
plug from the socket.
. Take the pressure off the water system by
tuming the tap off at the water connection point.
. Drain the water system (§12.2.1).
. Unscrew the two screws with which the back
plate is fastened and remove the back plate.
. Disconnect the NTC resistor.
. Disconnect the earth wiring.
. Disconnect the wires to both of the clicksons.
. Disconnect both hoses.
. Push the lip in the base plate down (at the
backmost support block) and slide the flow
boiler, together with the backmost support
block, in the direction of the door, until the
support block is released from the base plate.
. Take out the flow boiler, together with the
support block, from the machine.
. Disconnect both wires to the heating element.
The flow boiler is completely disassembled now,
and may be replaced. The new element has to be
installed in the exact reversed order.

12.2.4 Exchanging the NTC
resistor

The NTC resistor (temperature sensor) constant
monitors the temperature of the flow boiler.

~!::!. Parts of the interior of the machine may be
very hot. Allow the machine to cool down
sufficiently.
. Take the power off the machine by pulling the
plug from the socket.
. Remove the back plate from the machine after
unscrewing the two plate screws.
. Disconnect both plugs that connect the wiring
of the NTC resistor to the operating point.
. Unscrew the nut of the NTC resistor and
remove the NTC resistor.
The NTC resistor Is completely disassembled now,
and may be replaced. The new NTC resistor has to
be installed in the exact reversed order.

The siphoning basin provides the water selector
with hot water.
The water selector provides the brewer with hot
water, or lets the hot water flow out of the hot
water outlet.
Possible defects:
1. The light sensor is defective.
2. The connecting wire connecting the light
sensor is loose or defective.
3. The water-selector drive has broken down.
