146: Set PL Frequency for RBI-1 or RLC-ICM

This command allows you change the PL (CTCSS) frequency of the radio connected to the Doug

Hall RBI-1. The frequency you set will apply to both received and transmitted PL. See Commands

147 and 148 to turn the PL encoder and decoder on and off.

Parameters:

- 146 is the default command name.

- X..X is the PL frequency in Hz. Valid frequencies are listed below. Default is 67.0 Hz.

Notes:

The RLC-3 makes selecting PL frequencies easy by allowing you to enter approximate

values for the PL frequencies. For example, you can select a PL of 71.9 Hz by entering any

of the following values for X..X in the command above: 71, 72, 710, 719, 7100, and 7190.

The RLC-3 takes the number that you enter and finds the closest match among the valid PL

frequencies. When the synthesized voice responds to this command, it tells you the actual

frequency selected, even if the value you entered was approximate.

A ‘*’ is never required as a decimal point, but can be used (“146 127*3") to tell the

controller whether to speak the new PL frequency or whether to just say “PL”. See

command 144 for more information.
