191: Assign a Callsign to a User
This command assigns a callsign to a user number. User 14 might be KC7HXB for example. This
callsign is used when the controller speaks messages about logging on and off and in several other
places. It is possible to use a different name for a user instead of their callsign. The default
"callsigns" are just the user number; user 14 is "zero one four". The "callsign" can consist of any
words listed in Appendix B. This includes all of the numbers and letters and the special words like
the current time
<191> uuu Recall user callsign
<191> uuu www..www Set the user callsign
Parameters:
- 191 is the default command name
- UUU is the user number (000..999)
- www..www is a list of word numbers from Appendix B. There is a limit of 8 words per
user number.
Notes:
When you program a callsign for a user, the controller will automatically begin using it for
the voice readback of the autodial slot with the same number. You can keep the callsigns
from being used for the autodials with command 126.
