3.1 calibration Procedure
ThecalibrationprocedureshouldberunwhentheServo
Proisrstcommissioned,andanytimethatasubsequent
changeismadetoeithertheServoProCongurationor
theactuatorinwhichtheServoProisinstalled.
1. Engage the actuator handwheel by pulling it
outward, and manually move the actuator to the
mid-travel position.
2. Disengagetheactuatorhandwheelbypushingitin
ward.
3. PresstheCalibrationbutton,holditforaminimum
of2seconds,andreleasethebutton.
4. The ServoProshouldenterthe Calibration routine
and move the actuator toward the fully closed
position.After reaching the fully closed position, it
will reverse travel and move toward the fully open
position.After reaching the fully open position, the
ServoProwillwritethecalibrationvaluetomemory,
returntonormaloperation,andmovetheactuatorto
thepositionthatmatchesthecommandinputsignal.
5. Aftera successfulcalibration, theStatus LEDwill
returntothenormalheartbeatpattern.
6. Afteranunsuccessfulcalibrationattempt,theStatus
LEDwillashanerrorcodeof“red-green-red-green.”
Formoreinformationontheerrorcodes,refertothe
StatusLEDFlashCodeTable.Correcttheerrorand
runthecalibrationprocedureagain.
4.0 diagnostic indicators
TheServoProhasseveraldiagnosticindicators,such
asthePowerLED,MotorOpenLED,MotorCloseLED,
andStatusLED.TheServoProisconstantlyperforming
self-diagnostics. These indicators assist the user in
conrming proper operation of the Servo Pro, and
troubleshootingvariousoperationalproblems.
4.1 PoWer led
The Power LED will light solid green when the proper
electricalpowerissuppliedtotheServoPropowerterminals.
IfthePowerLEDisnotsolidgreen,thenthepowersupply
isnotworkingandtheServoProwillnotfunction.
ThefusemustbeinstalledforthePowerLEDtolight.
4.2 motor PoWer leds
TherearetwoMotorPowerLEDs.
TheMotorOpenLEDwilllightgreenwhenthe Servo
Pro ispowering the motor in theopen direction.This
occurswhenthecurrentactuatorpositionisbelowthe
commandsignal(desiredactuatorposition.)Theactuator
shouldbemovingintheopendirectionwhentheMotor
OpenLEDislit.
TheMotorCloseLEDwilllightredwhentheServoPro
ispoweringthemotorintheclosedirection.Thisoccurs
whenthecurrentactuatorpositionisabovethecommand
signal(desiredactuatorposition.)Theactuatorshould
bemovinginthecloseddirectionwhentheMotorClose
LEDislit.
4.3 status led
TheStatusLEDisabi-colorLED(red/green)thatindicates
variousoperationalconditionsoftheServoPro.TheStatus
LEDashesthegreen“heartbeat”pattern–arepeating
cycle of one second ONfollowedbyonesecondOFF –
to indicate normal operation.
Any ashing pattern other than the green heartbeat
indicateseitheranadvisoryconditionoranerrorcondition.
Advisoryconditionsarecombinationsofgreenashes.
TheseindicatetheServoProisoperating,butitmaynot
beinanoptimalcondition.AnexamplewouldbeReverse
Actingmodeselected.Theusermaydesirethiscondition,
butitmayalsobeanoversightthatrequirescorrection.
Errorconditionsarecombinationsofredashes.These
indicate the Servo Pro is not operating properly. An
examplewouldbehandwheelengaged.TheServoPro
cannotmovetheactuatormotorineitherdirectionwhen
thehandwheelisengaged.

AnyStatusLEDFlashCodewithgreenashesissimply
anadvisorythatshouldbenotedandmay,ormaynot,
require adjustment. Actuators can operate properly
whiletheStatusLEDisashinggreen.
AnyStatusLEDFlashCodethatcontainsredashes
isanerrorthatmustbecorrectedbeforetheactuator
can operate properly.
