CALIBRATION INSTRUCTIONS

CALIBRATION OF THE PS-500
A minimum 10% of scale capacity is needed in order to calibrate the scale.
To escape or abort calibration at any time press the ZERO/ON/OFF button.
1. Turn on the scale. The indicator goes thru display test.
When it becomes stable, we are ready to calibrate the scale.
With no weight on the scale.
2. Press the TARE and the ZERO/OFF/ON buttons at the
same time and hold until the display shows CAL.-?, then
release both buttons.
3. Press the TARE button, the display will show the maximum
capacity of the scale, follow by CAL.P0 and then 0.0 with the
last digit flashing.
4. Press the TARE button, the display will flash and show
CAP.P1, you will need to key in a calibration weigh of 50lbs.
minimum or the calibration weight that you have. (A
minimum 10% of scale capacity is needed in order to
calibrate the scale.) Place the weight on the scale; and key
in your calibration weight from right to left by using the
UNIT key to scroll your numbers up/down and use the
HOLD/PRINT key to advance you to the left to enter your
next number. Do this until the last digit on the left is flashing.
5. Press the TARE button, the display will flash and display
CAP.P2, with calibration weight still on the scale. You will
need to re-enter in your calibration weight from right to left,
using the same procedure in STEP 4.
6. Press the TARE button, the display will flash and display
CAP.P0. Remove all weight from the scale.
7. Press the TARE button, the display will flash 0.0 and go
back to the weigh mode.
8. Your scale is calibrated and should weigh correctly. If error
message CAL.Er appears repeat the procedure again.
