Operation Tips
1. The clutch will transfer maximum power after about two
hours of normal operation. During this break-in period
clutch slippage may occur. The clutch should be kept free
of oil and other moisture for ecient operation.
2. Till without placing excessive body weight on the unit.
The tiller operates most eciently with the weight of the
unit itself.
Preparing Engine For Starting
1. Make sure the engine crank case is lled with 3.7 oz
(110ml) of 10W-30 engine oil.
2. Screw a 16.4 oz (465 gram) disposable propane fuel
cylinder onto regulator assembly.
3. Insert fuel cylinder into holder and secure.
NOTE: The correct size disposable propane fuel cylinder
is approximately 3.875 inches (9.5 cm) in
diameter. Always use the correct size and type
specied. Use of the wrong propane cylinder can
cause damage to the engine. It is recommended
that you have at least one additional disposable
propane cylinder available to use as a backup.
1. Clean around oil ll area.
2. Unscrew dipstick and wipe clean with cloth.
3. Reinsert dipstick (must be fully threaded for accurate
reading).
4. Unscrew and check dipstick. If no oil shows on the
dipstick, rell so that the oil level appears between the
low and high marks on the dipstick. SEE FIGURE 2B
5. Change oil if contaminated
CAUTION
ENGINE IS SHIPPED FROM FACTORY WITHOUT OIL. YOU
MUST ADD ENGINE OIL BEFORE STARTING ENGINE.
IF ENGINE IS STARTED WITHOUT OIL, ENGINE MAY BE
DAMAGED BEYOND REPAIR AND WILL NOT BE COVERED
BY WARRANTY.
NEVER STORE ENGINE WITH FUEL CYLINDER ATTACHED
INDOORS. FUEL AND FUEL VAPORS ARE HIGHLY
FLAMMABLE.
ONLY AN ADULT MUST ALWAYS HANDLE AND
REPLACE FUEL CYLINDER.
ALWAYS HANDLE PROPANE IN A WELL VENTILATED
AREA, OUTDOORS, AWAY FROM FLAMES OR SPARKS.
IMPORTANT
DO NOT SPRAY WATER ON OR NEAR THE ELECTRONICS
OF THE TILLER AS THIS MAY RESULT IN DAMAGE TO
THE ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS.

Tine Removal and Installation
To Remove Tines, do as follows: SEE FIGURE 3
1. Remove the hairpins from each end of the tine shaft.
2. Slide the four tines o the shaft.
To Install Tines
1. First slide the inside tines onto each end of the tine shaft.
One inside tine is stamped with a B and the other is
stamped with a C.

WHEELS REMOVED FOR EASY OIL CHECKING
