Chapter 4 – Making a Presentation Interactive
o Key: The sting that will trigger the media item to play if it is matched by the input from the BP900/BP200,
UDP Input, Serial Input, Keyboard Input, or USB Input event.
o Label: The label of the interactive button as it will appear in the BrightSign App.
o Show in BrightSign App: . Uncheck this box if you want to hide a UDP command from BrightSign App
instances that connect to the player.
o File: Use the Browse button to find and select the desired media file.
o Video Display Mode: Choose between 2D and 3D display modes.
• Import Table: Click this button to import a previously created list of files. Navigate to your saved table and click
Open to add the files to your Play File list. This table must have the Key, File Path, File Name, and Video Display
Mode (if applicable) properly outlined. For a detailed explanation on importing a table for a Play File state, read the
article on our website.
• Specify Data Feed: Select this option if you would like to populate the Play File using media files specified in a
Data Feed. You will first need to add the Data Feed to your presentation by navigating to File > Presentation
Properties > Data Feeds. Upon playing the presentation, the player will retrieve the media from the download URLs
specified in the <description> field of each item in the RSS feed.
Live Text
This feature allows you to customize content for more engaging presentations. Live Text is an image laced with various
text and/or image fields. You can layer both static and updateable RSS and Media RSS (MRSS) content on top of images
or videos and customize the position/size of items in relation to the background.
Live Text –To use Live Text, drag the Live Text icon from the Other tab to the playlist area and set the following
parameters:
• State name: Type a unique name for the Live Text state.
• Set as initial state: Check this box to make the Live Text state your Home Screen.
• Background Image: Click Browse to locate and select a background image for your Live Text.
