Lay cardboard down to protect grill finish and assembly area. Turn the grill on its side to begin assembly. Step 1 Attach upper legs to firebox of grill using six M6 X 40 mm bolts and six M6 nuts. Step 2 Insert lower legs into upper legs, making sure the holes for the shelf face inward. Attach bottom shelf by inserting shelf pins into leg holes as shown.

Step 7 To Install the temperature gauge insert into center hole on grill lid, then turn it clockwise to upright position. Attach smokestack to smokestack bracket using a #8 self-tapping screw as shown. Step 8 Secure handle supports to grill lid by using two M6 X 12 mm bolts and two M6 nuts.

Charcoal Grate Adjuster Handles Step 10 Hang the charcoal grate in the firebox as shown. WARNING: Never hang charcoal grate from charcoal grate adjuster handles. HOT - CAUTION PRECAUCION CALIENTE Step 11 Insert warming rack through holes in grill lid and then insert the warming rack legs through the holes in the grill bottom. Secure using two cotter pins.

Step 13 Attach the ash tray handle and the ash tray handle heat shield with two M6 X 12 mm bolts and two M6 nuts. Store charcoal lighting fluid safely away from the grill. Step 5 Open the smokestack damper half way. With grill lid open, stand back and carefully light charcoal and allow to burn until covered with a light ash (approximately 20 minutes).

Charcoal Grate Adjuster Handles Step 6 Place cooking grills on grill support lips. Use charcoal grate adjusters to position charcoal grate to lowest level. WARNING: Never hang charcoal grate from charcoal grate adjuster handles.

Place charcoal grate assembly to lowest level of cooking chamber. Step 2 Ash tray must be in place at all times. Step 3 Lightly coat all interior surfaces of the Barrel including cooking grills with vegetable oil or vegetable oil spray. Do not coat charcoal grate or charcoal tray. Step 4 Follow the instructions below carefully to build a fire.

WARNING: Always wear oven mitts/gloves when adjusting cooking levels to protect your hands from burns. Step 8 Place food on cooking grills and close grill lid. Always use a meat thermometer to ensure food is fully cooked before removing from grill.

Adding Charcoal/Wood in Cooking Chamber Step 1 Stand back and carefully open cooking chamber lid. Use caution since flames can flare-up when fresh air suddenly comes in contact with fire. Step 2 Wearing oven mitts/gloves, remove food and cooking grills.
