CHARCOAL GRILL GENERAL WARNINGS WARNING • Only use this grill on a hard, level, non-combustible, stable surface (concrete, ground, etc.) capable of supporting the weight of the grill. Never use on wooden or other surfaces that could burn. • DO NOT use grill without charcoal ash tray in place. DO NOT attempt to remove charcoal ash tray while tray contains hot coals. • Proper clearance of 10 feet (3.1 m) between the grill and combustible material (bushes, trees, wooden decks, fences, buildings, etc.
WARNING • Use caution since flames can flare-up when fresh air suddenly comes in contact with fire. When opening the lid, keep hands, face and body a safe distance from hot steam and flame flare-ups. • Never place more than 15 pounds (6.8 kg) on side table. Do not lean on the side table. Always ensure side table is properly seated. • Do not exceed a temperature of 400°F (205°C). Do not allow charcoal and/or wood to rest on the walls of grill.
WARNING Property damage, bodily harm, severe burns, and death could result from failure to follow these safety steps. These steps should be performed after the grill has been assembled and prior to each use. DO NOT operate this grill until you have read and understand ALL of the warnings and instructions in this manual. PRE-START CHECK LIST: • Ensure that the grill is properly assembled.
TO MINIMIZE FLARE-UPS: Trim excess fat from meats prior to cooking. Cook meats with high fat contents (chicken or pork) on Low settings or indirectly. Ensure that your grill is on level ground and the grease is allowed to evacuate the grill through the drain hole in the bottom and into grease cup. • • • HELPFUL HINTS • If you pre-cook meat or poultry, do so immediately before grilling. • Never defrost meat at room temperature or on a countertop.
CHARCOAL OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS PLACE THE GRILL OUTDOORS ON A HARD, LEVEL, NON-COMBUSTIBLE SURFACE AWAY FROM ROOF OVERHANG OR ANY COMBUSTIBLE MATERIAL. NEVER USE ON WOODEN OR OTHER SURFACES THAT COULD BURN. PLACE THE GRILL AWAY FROM OPEN WINDOWS OR DOORS TO PREVENT SMOKE FROM ENTERING YOUR HOUSE. IN WINDY WEATHER, PLACE THE GRILL IN AN OUTDOOR AREA THAT IS PROTECTED FROM THE WIND. READ ALL SAFETY WARNINGS AND INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE OPERATING YOUR GRILL.
IF USING CHARCOAL CHIMNEY STARTER, PROCEED TO STEP 7 If using lighter fluid, follow all manufacturer’s warnings and instructions regarding the use of their product. Start with 2 to 2.5 pounds (0.9 to 1.1 kg) of charcoal for the cooking chamber. This should be enough charcoal to cook with once the curing process has been completed. 4. Saturate charcoal with lighting fluid. With lid open, wait 2 to 3 minutes to allow lighting fluid to soak into charcoal.
GRILLING/SEARING 1. Place cooking grill on grill support lips. Position charcoal grate to desired cooking level. Position it low for slow grilling, in the middle for medium grilling or up high for searing meats. WARNING: Always wear oven mitts/gloves when adjusting cooking levels to protect your hands from burns. 2. Place food on cooking grill and close grill lid. Always use a meat thermometer to ensure food is fully cooked before removing from grill. 3.
AFTER-USE SAFETY WARNING • Always allow grill and all components to cool before handling. • Never leave coals and ashes in grill unattended. Make sure coals and ashes are completely extinguished before leaving unattended. • Before grill can be left unattended, remaining coals and ashes must be removed from grill. Use caution to protect yourself and property. Place remaining coals and ashes in a non-combustible metal container and completely saturate with water.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE: • • • • • Keep the appliance free and clear of combustible materials, gasoline and other flammable vapors and liquids. Keep the ventilation openings of the cylinder enclosure free and clear of debris. For safe grilling and peak performance of your grill, perform these checks at least twice per year or after extended periods of storage. Be sure to tighten up all hardware (nuts, bolts, screws, etc.) at least twice per year. CAUTION! Some parts may contain sharp edges.

PARTS BAG CONTENTS Make sure you have all items listed under PARTS LIST and PARTS CARD CONTENTS before you begin the installation process.
Choose a good, cleared assembly area and get a friend to help you put your grill together. Lay cardboard down to protect grill finish and assembly area. Adjustable Feet Base CAUTION! Some parts may contain sharp edges. Wear protective gloves if necessary. Step 1 Turn the base upside down. Attach adjustable feet to base, then secure wheel brackets to base using four M6 x 12 mm bolts as illustrated.
Column Step 4 Attach base assembly to column using six M6 x 12 mm bolts as illustrated. Base Assembly Step 5 Firebox Attach firebox to column assembly using four M6 x 12 mm bolts as illustrated.
Step 6 Attach the column support to column using four M6 x 12 mm bolts as illustrated. Column Support Step 7 Attach back handle to firebox using two M6 x 12 mm bolts as illustrated. Back Handle Firebox Hinges Step 8 Attach firebox hinges to firebox using four M6 x 12 mm bolts as illustrated.
Step 9 Attach side shelf brackets to firebox using eight M6 x 12 mm bolts (four on left side, and four on right), then secure side shelfs to side shelf brackets using four M6 x 12 mm phillips head shoulder bolts (two on left side, and two on right) as illustrated.
Step 10 Attach hood hinges to hood using four M6 x 12 mm bolts. Then attach hood air vent to hood using one M6 x 12 mm bolt and one M6 nut as illustrated. Hood Hinges Hood Air Vent Step 11 Place hood on the firebox aligning holes in both hood hinges and firebox hinges. Insert hinge pins through each set of hinge holes. Secure by inserting hitch pin through a small hole in hinge pin as illustrated.

ADVERTENCIAS GENERALES DE SEGURIDAD PARA LA PARRILLA DE CARBÓN ADVERTENCIA • Utilice esta parrilla únicamente sobre una superficie estable dura, nivelada, no combustible (concreto, piso, etc.) capaz de aguantar el peso del ahumador. Nunca lo utilice sobre superficies de madera o de otro tipo que podrían quemarse. • NO utilice la parrilla sin que la bandeja para ceniza esté en su lugar. NO intente quitar la bandeja para ceniza mientras ésta contenga carbón caliente.
ADVERTENCIA • Cuando ase a la parrilla, es posible que la grasa gotee de la carne al carbón y la grasa se incendie. Si esto llegase a suceder, cierre la cubierta y gire las perillas del gas a la posición de cerrado para extinguir la flama. No le eche agua a los incendios de grasa para apagarlos. • Tenga precaución porque las flamas pueden saltar cuando el aire fresco llega súbitamente al fuego. Cuando abra la cubierta, mantenga sus manos, cara y cuerpo a buena distancia del vapor caliente y las llamaradas.
ADVERTENCIA Si hace caso omiso a estos pasos de seguridad, se pueden causar daños materiales, lesiones corporales, quemaduras graves o hasta la muerte. NUNCA LA PONGA SOBRE SUPERFICIES DE MADERA O DE OTRO TIPO QUE PUDIESEN QUEMARSE. ALEJE LA PARRILLA DE PUERTAS O VENTANAS ABIERTAS PARA QUE EL HUMO NO ENTRE A LA CASA. CUANDO HAGA VIENTO, COLOQUE LA PARRILLA EN UN LUGAR EXTERNO PROTEGIDO DEL VIENTO.
SI ESTÁ USANDO UN ENCENDEDOR PARA CHIMENEA A CARBÓN, CONTINÚE CON EL PASO 7 Si usa un liquido de encendedor, siga todas las advertencias e instrucciones del fabricante para el uso de su producto.
