Choose a good, cleared assembly area and get a friend to help you put your grill together. Lay cardboard down to protect grill finish and assembly area. Turn the grill on its side to begin assembly. Step 1 Remove the lid from the cooking chamber by removing hinge screws and sliding the hinge pins on the lid out of the hinges on the cooking chamber. Step 2 Place the grill body assembly on its end with the lid open. Make sure that another person is holding the grill body assembly steady.
Step 5 Slide wheel axle through the holes in the wheel legs as shown. Step 6 Attach wheels to the wheel axle using two M12 wheel axle nuts. Step 7 Attach handle to the cooking chamber using four M6 X 12 mm bolts and four M6 nuts as shown. Step 8 Attach smoke stack to the cooking chamber using smoke stack gasket and four M6 X 12 mm bolts with four M6 nuts as shown. Insure that the gasket is in between the smoke stack and cooking chamber. Note: With the help of a friend, turn the assembled grill upright.
Step 10 Attach firebox bracket to the wheel legs using two M6 X 12 mm bolts as shown. Step 11 Attach ash tray bracket to firebox using six M6 X 12 mm bolts as shown. Slide ash tray into ash tray bracket. Step 12 Attach firebox air shutter inside the firebox using one M6 X 12 mm bolt and one M6 nut as shown. Step 13 Attach firebox lid stop to the firebox using one M6 X 12 mm bolt and one M6 nut as shown.
Step 14 Assemble firebox by attaching firebox top and firebox bottom using six M6 X 12 mm bolts as shown. Step 15 Insert two M6 X 12 mm bolts half way in by the firebox opening as shown. Step 16 Attach firebox assembly to cooking chamber by aligning the slots on the firebox assembly to the two M6 X 12 bolts and slide into place as shown.
Step 17 Attach firebox to cooking chamber using four M6 X 12 mm bolts as shown. Step 18 Attach firebox to firebox bracket using two M6 X 12 mm bolts and two M6 nuts as shown. Step 19 Slide ash tray into ash tray bracket.
Step 20 Insert grease can holder through the hole inside the cooking chamber on the left side to hang under the cooking chamber as shown. Step 21 Place three cooking chamber charcoal grates into the cooking chamber. Place three cooking chamber cooking grills over the charcoal grates. Place firebox charcoal grate into the firebox. Place two firebox cooking grills over the charcoal grate. Step 22 Attach front table by sliding pegs into the tracks on the cooking chamber as shown.
Step 23 Attach firebox lid handle to the firebox lid using two bolts and two nuts that came with the handle as shown. Step 24 Attach firebox lid by sliding the hinge pins into the lid hinges on the cooking chamber as shown. Secure using two hinge screws. Step 25 Attach cooking chamber lid by sliding the hinge pins into the lid hinges on the cooking chamber as shown. Secure using two hinge screws.
Step 26 Insert thermometer into the hole in the cooking chamber lid as shown.
PREPARATION FOR USE & LIGHTING INSTRUCTIONS PLACE THE GRILL OUTDOORS ON A HARD, LEVEL, NON-COMBUSTIBLE SURFACE AWAY FROM ROOF OVERHANG OR ANY COMBUSTIBLE MATERIAL. NEVER USE ON WOODEN OR OTHER SURFACES THAT COULD BURN. PLACE THE GRILL AWAY FROM OPEN WINDOWS OR DOORS TO PREVENT SMOKE FROM ENTERING YOUR HOUSE. IN WINDY WEATHER, PLACE THE GRILL IN AN OUTDOOR AREA THAT IS PROTECTED FROM THE WIND. READ ALL SAFETY WARNINGS AND INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE OPERATING YOUR GRILL.
IF USING CHARCOAL CHIMNEY STARTER, PROCEED TO STEP 8. If using lighter fluid, follow all manufacturer’s warnings and instructions regarding the use of their product. Start with 8 pounds of charcoal in cooking chamber and 3.5 pounds of charcoal in firebox. This should be enough charcoal to cook with once the curing process has been completed. Open the firebox air shutter approximately 1” to 2” and smokestack damper halfway.

READ ALL SAFETY WARNINGS AND INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE OPERATING YOUR GRILL. Smoking Step 1 Place a charcoal grate in firebox.
WARNING: NOTE: Charcoal lighting fluid must be allowed to completely burn off prior to closing firebox lid and cooking chamber door (approximately 20 minutes). Failure to do this could trap fumes from charcoal lighting fluid in smoker and may result in a flash-fire or explosion when lid or door is opened. To extend the life of your grill, make sure that hot coals and wood do not touch the walls of smoker.
• Always use a meat thermometer to ensure food is fully cooked before removing from smoker. A meat thermometer may be ordered directly from Brinkmann by calling 1-800-468-5252. Grilling In Cooking Chamber Step 1 Remove cooking grills from firebox and set aside. Place charcoal grates in bottom of cooking chamber. Step 2 Follow the instructions below carefully to build a fire. You may use charcoal and/or wood as fuel in the Trailmaster (see “Adding Charcoal/Wood During Cooking” section of this manual).
IF USING LIGHTER FLUID, PROCEED TO STEP 8 If using pre-treated charcoal, follow all manufacturer’s warnings and instructions regarding the use of their product. Start with 8 pounds of charcoal on charcoal grates. Open the firebox air shutter approximately 1” to 2” and smokestack damper halfway. Step 7 With firebox lid and cooking chamber lid open, stand back and carefully light charcoal and allow to burn until covered with a light ash (approximately 20 minutes).
Adding Charcoal/Wood During Cooking Additional charcoal and/or wood may be required to maintain or increase cooking temperature. Adding Charcoal/Wood in Firebox Step 1 Stand back and carefully open firebox lid. Use caution since flames can flare-up when fresh air suddenly comes in contact with fire. Step 2 Wearing oven mitts/gloves, stand back a safe distance and use long cooking tongs to lightly brush aside ashes on hot coals.
AFTER-USE SAFETY WARNING • Always allow smoker and all components to cool completely before handling. • Never leave coals and ashes in smoker unattended. Make sure coals and ashes are completely extinguished before removing. • Before smoker can be left unattended, remaining coals and ashes must be removed from smoker. Use caution to protect yourself and property. Place remaining coals and ashes in a noncombustible metal container and completely saturate with water.

Paso 10 Ate el soporte de la caja de fuego a las piernas con rueda usando dos pernos M6 X 12 mm como se muestra. Paso 11 Ate el soporte de la bandeja de ceniza a la caja de fuego usando seis pernos M6 X 12 mm y seis tuercas M6 como se muestra. Resbale la bandeja de ceniza dentro del soporte de la bandeja de ceniza. Paso 12 Ate el obturador del aire de la caja de fuego dentro de la caja de fuego usando un perno M6 X 12 mm y una tuerca M6 como se muestra.
Paso 14 Monte la caja de fuego atando la tapa de la caja de fuego y la parte inferior de la caja de fuego usando seis pernos M6 X 12 mm como se muestra. Paso 15 Inserte dos pernos M6 X 12 mm a mitad de camino en la apertura caja de fuego, como se muestra. Paso 16 Fije el conjunto de la caja de fuego a el compartimiento de cocinar, alineando las ranuras de la caja de fuego para el montaje de los dos M6 X 12 pernos y deslice en su lugar como se muestra.
Paso 17 Ate la caja de fuego al compartimiento para cocinar y al soporte de la caja de fuego usando cuatro pernos M6 X 12 mm como se muestra. Paso 18 Ate la caja de fuego al soporte de la caja de fuego con dos X 12 mm pernos M6 y dos tuercas M6, como se muestra. Paso 19 Resbale la bandeja de ceniza dentro del soporte de la bandeja de ceniza.
Paso 20 Inserte el sostenedor de la lata de grasa a través del agujero dentro del compartimiento para cocinar en el lado izquierdo para colgar bajo el compartimiento de cocinar como se muestra. Paso 21 Coloque tres rejillas de carbón de leña dentro del compartimiento para cocinar. Coloque tres rejillas para cocinar sobre las rejillas de carbón de leña.
