Using the fl ow method, calcium and magnesium ions and heavy metal ions such as lead and copper
are selectively removed from the fi ltered drinking water by means of an ion exchanger. In addition
the fi lter material does not only reduce cloudiness and impurities but also substances that impair the
smell and taste, such as chlorine residues in the fi ltrate and in the by-pass water.
Integrated by-pass settings on the fi lter cartridge are used to set the total hardness reduction to the
local water hardness to the requirements of the application in order to achieve an optimum water
quality.
The fi lter system is available in 2 different sizes (PURITY 600 Quell GY and PURITY 1200 Quell GY).
Typical applications for the BRITA PURITY 600 and 1200 Quell GY water fi lter systems are coffee
and espresso machines and hot drink machines in drinking water areas with a high level of gypsum
hardness.
!
Caution: The system is not suitable for use in combi ovens and conventional ovens.
