3 Route the lap part of the vehicle
belt through the second belt guide.
* Do not route the shoulder part
of the vehicle belt through the
belt guides.
4 Verify that the vehicle belt is not
twisted and then buckle.
5 Push the infant carrier firmly into
the vehicle seat while removing
all slack from the lap part, and
then the shoulder part of the
vehicle belt.
6 Hold the lap and shoulder belts
together behind the latch plate
and unbuckle.
7 Thread the locking clip onto both
belts, placing it within 1 inch (2.5
cm) of the latch plate.
