I NFRARED SENSOR — Lets you transfer files from your computer to another
IrDA-compatible device without using cable connections.
W hen you receive your computer, the sensor is disabled. You can use the
system
setup program
to enable the sensor. For information on transferring data, see
W indows Help, the
W indows Help and Support Center, or the documentation that
came with your IrDA-compatible device.
PC C
ARD SLOT — Supports one PC Card, such as a modem or network adapter.
The computer ships with a plastic blank installed in the slot. For more information,

Right View
HARD DRI VE — Stores software and data.
SMART CARD SLOT — Supports one smart card. For more information, see
"
Using Smart Cards."
FAN EXHAUST — The computer uses an internal fan to create airflow through the
vents, which prevents the computer from overheating.
