NOTE: If your computer has a gray cable, connect it to the connector with the gray
triangle, if one is available on your card.
6 Replace the Mini-Card/modem cover.
Hinge Cover
CAUTION: Before you begin any of the procedures in this section, follow the
safety instructions in the Product Information Guide.
NOTICE: To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist
grounding strap or by periodically touching an unpainted metal surface (such as a
connector on the back of the computer).
NOTICE: To avoid damaging the system board, you must remove the battery before
you begin working inside the computer.
1 Follow the procedures in "Before You Begin" on page 123.
2 Remove the hinge cover:
a Open the display all the way (180 degrees) so that it lies flat against
your work surface.
NOTICE: To avoid damaging the hinge cover, do not lift the cover on both sides
simultaneously.
