INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Installation work and electrical wiring must be done by quali-
fied person(s) in accordance with all applicable codes and stan-
dards, including fire-related construction.
Turn OFF power and lock out service panel before installing or
wiring this control.
To prevent serious injury from electrical shock or damage to
electrical components - DO NOT WIRE HOT!
Never place a switch where it can be reached from a tub or
shower.
When cutting or drilling into a wall or ceiling DO NOT damage
electrical wiring and other hidden utilities.
Warranty is void if miswired.
IMPORTANT: Make sure both the switch box and the product
to be controlled are properly grounded.
RATING SPECIFICATIONS
Each two-position rocker switch on this control is rated 15 Amps
@ 120VAC.
The three-position rocker switch is rated 5 Amps @ 125VAC.
The total load on this control must not exceed 20 Amps @
120VAC.
INSTALLATION
WARNING: TO AVOID FIRE, SHOCK, OR DEATH; TURN OFF
POWER AT CIRCUIT BREAKER OR FUSE AND TEST THAT
POWER IS OFF BEFORE WIRING!
CAUTION: Use this control only with copper or copper-clad wire.
With aluminum wire, use only devices marked CO/ALR.
1. Install at least a 2½” deep switch box for 14 AWG wire or at
least a 2¾” deep switch box for 12 AWG wire.
2. Remove wire insulation on control (approximately ¾”).
3. Connect wires (per WIRING DIAGRAM on back) as follows:
Twist all strands firmly together. Hold bare ends of wires to-
gether and push firmly into wire connector. Screw connector
on clockwise making sure that no bare conductor shows be-
low the connector. Secure connector with electrical tape.
4. Gently place wires into switch box leaving room for the con-
trol.
5. Mount control using screws provided. Attach wall plate.
6. Restore power at circuit breaker or fuse.
7. Switch functions may be identified by applying labels (included)
to the rockers or wallplate.
