System Group

All systems must implement the System Group. If an agent is not configured to have a value for any of

the System Group variables, a string of length 0 is returned.

OID 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.1

Description A textual description of the entity.

Note This value should include the full name and version identification of the hardware

type, software operating system, and networking software. This must contain only

printable ASCII characters.

Default Value = Fibre Channel Switch. Set this value using the agtCfgSet telnet

command.

sysObjectID

OID 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.2

Description The vendor’s authoritative identification of the network management subsystem

contained in the entity.

Note This value is allocated within the SMI enterprises subtree (1.3.6.1.4.1) and provides

an easy and unambiguous means for determining what kind of device is being

managed.

For example, if a vendor “NetYarn, Inc.” was assigned the subtree 1.3.6.1.4.1.4242, it

could assign the identifier 1.3.6.1.4.1.4242.1.1 to its “Knit Router”.

Description The time (in hundredths of a second) since the network management portion of the
