IP Multicast Protocols
Table 253 lists the individual Brocade FastIron switches and the IP multicast features they support.
These features are supported in the full Layer 3 software image only.
This chapter describes how to configure Brocade Layer 3 switches for Protocol Independent
Multicast (PIM) and Distance Vector Multicast Routing Protocol (DVMRP).
NOTE
Each multicast protocol uses IGMP. IGMP is automatically enabled on an interface when you
configure PIM or DVMRP and is disabled on the interface if you disable PIM or DVMRP.
