snmp-server contact

Sets the SNMP server contact string.

Synopsis snmp-server contact string

no snmp-server contact string

Operands string Specifies the server contact. You must enclose the text in double quotes if

the text contains spaces.

Defaults The default contact string is “Field Support.”

Command Modes Global configuration mode

Description Use this command to set the SNMP server contact string.

Usage Guidelines Enter no snmp-server contact string to restore the default values.

Examples To set the SNMP server contact string to “Operator 12345”:

switch(config)# snmp-server contact “Operator 12345”

To set the SNMP server contact string to the default of “Field Support”:

switch(config)# no snmp-server contact
