Enables or disables an attached USB device.
Synopsis usb {on |off}
Operands on Turns the USB device on.
off Turns the USB device off.
Defaults None
Command Modes Privileged EXEC mode
Description Use this command to enable or disable an attached USB device. The device will be inaccessible
until it is enabled.
Usage Guidelines This command is executed on the local switch. A switch reload will automatically turn the USB
device off.
This command is supported only on the local switch.
This command is not supported on the standby management module.
Examples To enable a USB device attached to the local switch:
switch# usb on
USB storage enabled
To disable a USB device attached to the local switch:
switch# usb off
USB storage disabled
