hello-timer
Configures the Hello message periodic interval.
Synopsis hello-timer num
no hello-timer
Operands num The interval value in seconds. Valid values range from 10
through 3600 seconds.
Defaults 30 seconds
Command Modes PIM router configuration mode
Description Use this command to specify the interval between Protocol Independent Multicast (PIM) “Hello”
messages.
Usage Guidelines Enter no hello-timer to return to the default settings.
Examples Setting the hello-timer to 60 seconds.
switch(conf-pim-router)# hello-timer 60
