Enables or disables the Protocol Independent Multicast (PIM) routing protocol.

Synopsis router pim

no router pim

Operands None

Defaults The PIM protocol is disabled.

Command Modes RBridge ID configuration mode

Description Use this command to enable or disable the PIM protocol. It launches the PIM router configuration

mode.

Usage Guidelines Enter exit to exit this mode.

Examples To enable the PIM protocol:

switch(config-rbridge-id-128)# router pim
