ATTENTION This hardware kit is a universal kit, and some hardware will not be used in this installation. Unpacking and installing the mid-mount hardware 1. Unpack the rack kit hardware. 2. Loosen the two 10-32 adjusting screws securing the each sliding bracket to the saddle (see Figure 1 on page 4) and slide the brackets as far backward as possible. 3. Install the saddle to the rack posts using the following steps while referring to Figure 2 on page 5.

Remove any existing rack-mount brackets from the switch, and install the new Telco mid-mount brackets from the rack kit. CAUTION Use safe lifting practices when moving the product. (C015) 6. If applicable, lock the wheels of the lift. 7. Gently slide the switch onto the saddle, ensuring that it remains supported during the transfer. 8. Secure the switch to the rack using six 10-32 screws with square-cone washers, three screws for each mounting bracket attached to the switch. See Figure 5. Tighten the screws to 32 in-lb (36.
9. Install the air filter over the left side bracket (as you face the port side). Slide the air filter into the upper and lower guides on the mid-mount bracket and then tighten the captive screw at the lower front of the filter to secure it.
Unpacking and installing the flush mount rack hardware 1. Unpack the rack kit. 2. Align the holes in the saddle with the holes on the mounting posts and attach the saddle using six #10-32 pan head screws that were provided in the kit. The saddle attaches to the rear of the posts. Refer to Figure 7. ATTENTION Screws are inserted from the rear of the rack.

Secure the switch to the rack using six 10-32 screws with square-cone washers that were supplied with the switch, three screws for each mounting bracket attached to the switch. Tighten the screws to 32 in-lb (36.86 cm-kg) NOTE Screws, clip nuts, and retainer nuts for mounting the switch to the equipment rack are located in the switch hardware accessory kit.
