GSLB Settings
GSLB Site
The GSLB protocol is disabled by default. You must enable the GSLB protocol for an ADX to behave
as a site ADX device. After you enable the GSLB protocol, the device performs server load balancng
and exchanges information with the GSLB controller through the GSLB protocol.
To configure the settings for the global server load balancing (GSLB) site in the Brocade Virtual
ADX, perform the following steps within the Configure tab.
1. Click GSLB on the menu bar.
2. From the sidebar, select GSLB Site. The GSLB Site Basic Settings page is displayed, as shown
in Figure 104.

3. Provide the following information:
• GSLB Protocol: Select the Enable check box to globally enable the GSLB protocol on the
site Brocade Virtual ADX switches. By default, the GSLB protocol is disabled.
• TCP port: Specify the TCP port number you want the Brocade Virtual ADX to use for
exchanging GSLB information with other Brocade Virtual ADXs. By default, a GSLB Brocade
Virtual ADX uses TCP port 182 to exchange GSLB information with other Brocade Virtual
ADXs, including the site Brocade Virtual ADXs.
If you change the GSLB protocol port number, apply the change, save the configuration
and reboot the Brocade Virtual ADX. Also, you must change the port to the same number
on all Brocade Virtual ADXs in the GSLB configuration. If the port number in two GSLB
Brocade Virtual ADXs is not the same, those Brocade Virtual ADXs are not able to properly
perform GSLB.
