Perform the following functions in the Community Strings tab:
• To add a community string, enter the information in controls described in Table 10. To save the
information and display the information in the table, Click Add.
• To edit an existing community string in the table, select the community string to populate the
associated editing fields with the contents of its row. To save the changes to the edited
community string, click Update.
• Select one or more rows to enable the Delete button to delete Community Strings from the
table.
• Click Clear to deselect all rows and empty the edit fields in order to create a new Community
String.
Clients tab
The Clients tab displays an editable list of client IP addresses allowed access to the server. To view
the Clients page, perform the following actions in the Configure tab:
1. Click System on the menu bar.
2. From the sidebar, select Device Management.
3. Click SNMP in the sidebar sub-menu to display the SNMP Settings tab.
Read Only Select the check box to assign read-only (R/O) access to the Community String, meaning
that authorized management stations are able to only retrieve MIB objects. If the check box
is not selected, the community string has read-write access. If you do not select the check
box, the Community String is read-write (R/W), meaning that authorized management
stations are able to both retrieve and modify MIB objects.
View Name Name of a defined view. The view defines the objects available to the community. Enter the
name to identify the view. The name can be any alphanumeric name with no spaces.
