Configuring IP addresses for the interface
To configure an IP address for the interface, perform the following steps within the Configure tab.
1. Click Network on the menu bar.
2. From the sidebar, select Interface.
3. From the Summary page, select an interface entry from the list.
4. Click IP addresses.
The IP Address page tab is displayed. See Figure 47.

5. Provide the following information:
• Interface ID: Displays the ID assigned to the interface.
• MAC Address: Displays the MAC address of the interface.
• Primary, Secondary, or Standby: Select whether the interface is the primary, secondary or
standby.
• IP Address: Enter the IP address of the network interface.
If you enter an IPv6 address, the following check boxes appear:
• Is Anycast: Select this check box when the IPv6 address is an anycast address for a
set of interfaces belonging to different nodes.
• Is EUI64: Select this check box to configure the IPv6 address with an automatically
computed EUI-64 interface ID.
• Mask: For IPv4, enter the subnet mask in class-based format or select Use Prefix and
choose the prefix from 1 to 31.
For IPv6, the Use Prefix check box is preselected. Enter the prefix length from 32 to 128.
• Ignore OSPF: Select this check box to disable the use of this interface address for OSPF.
This check box appears only when Primary and Secondary is selected.
