OSPF area status table

The OSPF Area Status Data Structure contains information regarding the configured parameters

and cumulative statistics of the router’s attached areas. The interfaces and virtual links are

configured as part of these areas. Area 0.0.0.0 is the Backbone Area.

Syntax: Integer32

Read only Shows the sequence number of this entry. The OSPF neighbor that

sent the LSA stamps it with a sequence number to enable the Layer 3

Switch and other OSPF routers to determine which LSA for a given

route is the most recent. This object can be used to detect old and

duplicate link-state advertisements. The higher the sequence

number, the more recent the advertisement.

Read only Shows the age of the link-state advertisement in seconds.

Syntax: Integer32

Read only Indicates the checksum for the LSA packet. The checksum is based

on all the fields in the packet except the age field. The Layer 3 Switch

uses the checksum to verify that the packet is not corrupted.

Syntax: OctetString

Read only Shows the data in the link-state advertisement, including its header in

octets. There can be up to 36 octets in this object.
