4 Edit "/etc/printcap" file
Add a line as following:
LPV|LPV Line printer/:lp=:rm=LPV:sd=/usr/spool/LPV:rp=WS-23BA42-P1:
Meaning of the words in description:
lp (Local Printer): It specifies the Local Printer Name.
rm (Remote Machine): It specifies the LPV Host Name which should be
defined in "hosts" file.
sd (Spool Directory): It specifies the directory where system spools print
data.
The spool directory must be setup before printing.
rp (Remote Printer): It specifies the port on which printer is connected.
5 Print by using lpr command.
6 Use lpr command to Print
Lpr-PLPV "File Name"
If you need to print without re-boot the computer after all setup, please use following
command:
lpc restart LPV
