BRONCOLOR RADIO FREQUENCY SYSTEM 2.2 Before use We are very pleased you have chosen one of our RFS 2.2 transceiver units. If used properly, it will render you many years of good service. Please read the information contained in these operating instructions carefully. They contain important details on the use, safety and maintenance of the device. Keep these operating instructions in a safe place and pass them on to further users if necessary With the radio system broncolor RFS 2.
1. RFS 2.2 TRANSCEIVER AS TRANSMITTER The RFS 2.2 transceiver operates as a remote control or radio flash trigger for one or more broncolor power packs or monolights equipped with an RFS 2 interface. Power packs or monolights not equipped with an RFS 2 interface can be operated by connecting an RFS 2.2 Transceiver (as receiver) – see Chapter 10. All devices, whether with a built-in RFS 2 or an external RFS 2.2 receiver are compatible.
2. OPERATION > Keys The unit has three menu keys, a scrolling wheel, a "test" key and two slide switches, one for modelling light and one to switch the unit on and off. > Duration of key presses A short press of a key is one that takes less than one second, a long press is longer than one second.

3. SETTING STUDIO ADDRESSES The transceiver must have the same studio address as the flash units used. First set the studio address you want to use on the flash units, and then synchronise the RFS 2.2 transmitter. To set the studio address (studio channel), please proceed as follows: 1) Press the "ST" key for longer to enter the studio channel menu. 2) Set the studio address with the scrolling wheel as required (01 to 99). 3) Save the setting with a short press on the "ST" key.
4. SETTING THE LAMP CHANNEL With the RFS 2.2 transceiver, you can set the energy control per channel as you wish as well as adjust the number of lamps per studio. To set the lamp address, please proceed as follows: 1) Press the "LP" key briefly to enter the lamp setting menu. 2) Set the lamp address with a short press on the "LP" key (several times if necessary). To set the number of lamps used in your studio, please proceed as follows: 1) Press the "LP" key for longer to enter the lamp setting menu.
5. ENERGY CONTROL 5.1 Preparation Longer press on key "ST": Turn the scrolling wheel as appropriate to change the studio channel up or down. Confirm the selection by a short press on key “ST”. The RFS 2.2 transceiver allows you to change the energy setting of all RFS 2 flash units that are set to the same studio address (in the “ST” menu) and to change the output of individual lamp channels (in the “LP” menu). The output can be adjusted in 1/10 and full f-stop steps. 5.
6. HS 6.1 Menu “HS” The HS mode enables short exposure times (down to 1/8000 s) on the camera in combination with HS-compatible flash units. Operating HS functions – Mount a compatible RFS 2.2 transmitter on the camera – Switch on the RFS 2 / HS-compatible broncolor flash unit – Activate the RFS function on the flash unit – Activate HS mode on the RFS 2.2. The flash unit switches automatically to HS mode HS on / off: Press the “HS” key briefly: Turn the scrolling wheel up or down.
The delay of the flash trigger signal (HSMA) depends on the camera, and so is different from model to model. The transmitters are factory set to work correctly with most models of a given brand, however, if you should notice a black bar across the exposed image you should utilize the HSMA function to adjust the timing until the black bar is no longer visible in the exposed image. Longer press on key "HS" for HSMA (HS Manual Adjust): turn the scrolling wheel up or down.
7. RFS 2.2 TRANSCEIVER AS RECEIVER With broncolor power packs, monolights and lamps from other manufacturers, which are not equipped to receive RFS 2 data, the unit can be used as an external receiver. The unit will not be automatically switched to receive when connected to a power pack or monolight.

BRONCOLOR RADIO FREQUENCY SYSTEM 2.2 Vor dem Benutzen Es freut uns, dass Sie sich für einen unserer RFS 2.2 Transceiver entschieden haben. Bei sachgemässer Behandlung wird er Ihnen lange Jahre gute Dienste leisten. Bitte lesen Sie alle in dieser Bedienungsanleitung aufgeführten Informationen aufmerksam durch. Sie geben Ihnen wichtige Hinweise für den Gebrauch, die Sicherheit und die Wartung der Geräte.
1. RFS 2.2 TRANSCEIVER ALS SENDER Der RFS 2.2 Transceiver dient der Fernbedienung respektive Blitzauslösung über Funk zu einem oder mehreren broncolor Generatoren oder Kompaktgeräten mit eingebautem RFS 2 Interface. Nicht mit RFS 2 Interface ausgestattete Generatoren / Kompaktgeräte können durch Anschluss eines RFS 2.2 Transceiver (als Empfänger) bedient werden (siehe Kapitel 10). Alle Geräte mit eingebautem RFS 2 oder externem RFS 2.2 Empfänger sind untereinander kompatibel.
Achtung: Obwohl dieses Funksystem die Wahl von bis zu 99 Studioadressen ermöglicht, wird die Anzahl der effektiv zur Verfügung stehenden Kanäle durch das angesteuerte RFS 2 Blitzgerät vorgegeben. Weitergehende Instruktionen entnehmen Sie bitte der Bedienungsanleitung des entsprechenden Blitzgerätes. 2. BEDIENUNG > Tasten Das Gerät besitzt 3 Menü-Tasten, ein Drehrad, eine "test" Taste, zwei Schiebe schalter, je für das Einstelllicht sowie das Ein- und Ausschalten des Gerätes.

Automatische Ausschaltung Das Gerät geht nach 10 Minuten automatisch in den Energie-Sparmodus. Drücken Sie irgendeine Taste, um das Gerät wieder zu aktivieren. 3. STUDIOADRESSE EINSTELLEN Der Transceiver muss die gleiche Studioadresse wie die verwendeten Blitzgeräte besitzen. Stellen Sie zuerst die zu verwendende Studioadresse an den Blitzgeräten ein und synchronisieren Sie den RFS 2.2 Sender danach.
4. LEUCHTENKANAL EINSTELLEN Mit dem RFS 2.2 Transceiver haben Sie die Möglichkeit, die Energieregelung pro Kanal vorzunehmen sowie die Anzahl verwendeter Leuchten pro Studio festzulegen. Um den Leuchtenkanal einzustellen, gehen Sie bitte wie folgt vor: 1) Drücken Sie die "LP" Taste kurz, um in das Menü der Leuchten-Einstellung zu gelangen. 2) Stellen Sie den Leuchtenkanal ein, indem Sie erneut (ggf. mehrmals) kurz auf die Taste "LP" drücken.
5. ENERGIEREGELUNG 5.1 Vorbereitung Langer Tastendruck auf die Taste "ST": Der Studiokanal kann mit dem Drehrad nach oben / unten eingestellt werden. Die Auswahl muss mit kurzem Tastendruck auf "ST" bestätigt werden. Der Transceiver RFS 2.2 erlaubt die Energieverstellung aller RFS 2 Blitzgeräte, welche auf die gleiche Studioadresse eingestellt sind (im Menü "ST"), sowie die Leistungsverstellung der einzelnen Leuchtenkanäle (im Menü "LP").
6. HS 6.1 Menü "HS" Der HS-Modus ermöglicht den Einsatz von kurzen Verschlusszeiten (bis 1/8000 s) an der Kamera in Zusammenhang mit HS-kompatiblen Blitzgeräten. Bedienung HS-Funktionalität – kompatibler RFS 2.2 Sender an Kamera montieren – RFS 2 / HS-kompatibles broncolor Blitzgerät einschalten – RFS Funktion am Blitzgerät aktivieren – HS-Modus am RFS 2.2 aktivieren. Das Blitzgerät geht automatisch in HS-Modus HS ein / aus: Kurzer Tastendruck auf "HS": Drehrad nach oben / unten drehen.
Die Verzögerung des Blitzauslösesignals (HSMA) ist von der Kamera abhängig und somit unterschiedlich von Modell zu Modell. Der Sender ist ab Werk so eingestellt, um mit Ihrer Kamera optimal zu funktionieren. Sollten Sie jedoch einen schwarzen Balken auf Ihrem Bild feststellen, erfolgt die Blitzauslösung zu spät. Verwenden Sie HSMA, um die Auslöseverzögerung der Kamera anzupassen bis der schwarze Balken nicht mehr sichtbar ist.
7. RFS 2.2 TRANSCEIVER ALS EMPFÄNGER Bei broncolor Generatoren, Kompaktgeräten und Fremdfabrikaten, die nicht für den Empfang von RFS 2 Daten ausgestattet sind, kann das Gerät als externer Empfänger verwendet werden. Das Gerät wird bei Anschluss an einem Generator oder Kompaktgerät nicht automatisch auf Empfänger umgeschaltet. Für die Umstellung vom Sende-Modus in den Empfangs-Modus bzw.

En le manipulant correctement, il vous rendra service pendant de nombreuses années. Veuillez lire attentivement les informations contenues dans ce mode d’emploi. Elles vous signalent tout ce que vous devez savoir sur l’utilisation, la sécurité et l’entretien de votre appareil.
1. TRANSMETTEUR RFS 2.2 EN TANT QU’ÉMETTEUR Le transmetteur RFS 2.2 permet de commander à distance, par signal radio, un ou plusieurs générateurs ou flashes compacts broncolor équipés d’une interface RFS 2 intégrée. Les générateurs / flashes compacts non équipés d’une interface RFS 2 peuvent être commandés en connectant un transmetteur RFS 2.2 en mode récepteur (voir chapitre 10). Tous les appareils équipés d’une interface intégrée RFS 2 ou d’un récepteur RFS 2.
Attention : bien que ce système radio permette de sélectionner jusqu’à 99 adresses studio, le nombre de canaux effectivement disponibles est prédéfini par l'appareil commandé via l’interface RFS 2. Vous trouverez de plus amples informations dans le mode d’emploi du générateur ou flash compact correspondant. 2.

Arrêt automatique L’appareil passe automatiquement en mode « économie d’énergie » au bout de 10 minutes. Actionner une touche quelconque pour réactiver l’appareil. 3. RÉGLAGE DE L’ADRESSE STUDIO Le transmetteur doit avoir la même adresse studio que celle des flashes utilisés. Régler tout d’abord l’adresse studio à utiliser sur les flashes puis synchroniser l’émetteur RFS 2.2.
4. RÉGLAGE DU CANAL DES LAMPES Le transmetteur RFS 2.2 permet de régler librement l'énergie par canal ainsi que le nombre de lampes par studio. Procéder comme suit pour régler le canal des lampes : 1) Actionner brièvement la touche « LP » pour passer dans le menu de réglage des lampes. 2) Régler le canal des lampes en actionnant de nouveau brièvement (plusieurs fois le cas échéant) la touche « LP ».
5. RÉGLAGE DE L’ÉNERGIE 5.1 Préparation Pression prolongée de la touche « ST » : La molette permet de régler le canal de studio vers le haut / le bas. La sélection doit être validée à l’aide d’une brève pression de la touche « ST ». Le transmetteur RFS 2.2 permet de régler l’énergie de tous les flashes RFS 2 réglés sur la même adresse studio (dans le menu « ST ») ainsi que de régler la puissance des différents canaux de lampe (dans le menu « LP »).
6. HS 6.1 Menu « HS » Le mode HS permet d’utiliser des temps d’obturation très courts (jusqu’à 1/8000 s) sur l’appareil photo en combinaison avec des flashes compatibles HS. Utilisation de la fonctionnalité HS – Monter l'émetteur RFS 2.2 sur l’appareil photo compatible – Activer le flash broncolor compatible RFS 2 / HS – Activer la fonction RFS sur le flash – Activer le mode HS sur le RFS 2.2. Le flash passe automatiquement en mode HS HS on / off: Brève pression sur la touche « HS ».
Le retard du signal de déclenchement de l'éclair (HSMA) dépend de l'appareil photo et varie donc en fonction du modèle. L’émetteur est réglé en usine pour fonctionner de manière optimale avec l’appareil photo. Si malgré tout une barre noire apparaît dans l’image, cela signifie que le déclenchement de l’éclair est survenu trop tard. Utilisez le mode HSMA afin d’adapter le moment du déclenchement de l'obturateur jusqu’à ce que la barre disparaisse.
7. RÉGLAGE DE L’APPAREIL (c.fn) Opérations – D ésactiver l’appareil RFS 2.2 (positionner l’interrupteur principal sur « off ») – Actionner la touche « test » et activer simultanément l’appareil RFS 2.

TRANSMETTEUR RFS 2.2 EN TANT QUE RÉCEPTEUR Pour les générateurs, flashes compacts broncolor et produits d’autres marques non équipés pour la réception de données RFS 2, l’appareil peut être utilisé en tant que récepteur externe. L’appareil ne commute pas automatiquement sur le mode récepteur lorsqu’on le connecte à un générateur ou à un flash compact.
