Load your document
a Lift the Document Support Arms a.
b Place your document, face down, top edge first
in the document feeder between the Guides
until you feel it touch the inside of the machine
gently.

Scan using
ControlCenter4
(Windows
®
)
a Click the (ControlCenter4) icon in the
system tray, and then select Open from the
menu.
b Select Home Mode in the mode dialog box.
The ControlCenter4 window appears.
c Click (Scan). The machine starts to feed
and scan your document.
d Click (Save). The Save dialog box
appears.
NOTE
When you load multiple documents, position the
documents so that the leading edges are aligned
at a slight angle in the feed direction.

If the icon is not displayed in the system tray,
do one of the following:
•Windows

XP, Windows Vista
®
and
Windows

7 users: Click (Start) > All
Programs > Brother > ADS-XXXXX >
ControlCenter4 (where XXXXX is your model
name).
•Windows

8 users: Double-click (Brother
Utilities) on the desktop, and then click
(ControlCenter4).
