1 Diffusion Adjustment – Grey
This function adjusts the brightness and contrast to create grey images.
Brightness
Larger values lighten the image.
Contrast
Larger values increase the contrast in the image. Excessively large values may result in a black and
white image.
NOTE
This function is available when the Grey (Error Diffusion) scan type is selected.
2 Colour Tone Adjustment
Allows you to adjust the brightness, contrast, shadow, highlight, and gamma during grey and colour
scanning.
The default setting is Custom.
Auto
Scans the document using the optimal settings based on its content.
Custom
Allows you to set the Brightness, Contrast, Shadow, Highlight and Gamma manually.
NOTE
Shadow cannot be set to a larger value than Highlight.
This function is available when the Auto, True Grey, or 24bit Colour scan type is selected.

Highlight: 240
Gamma: 5.0
