Other Difficulties 10
The Brother software cannot be
installed.
Windows
®
If the Security Software warning appears on the computer screen during the
installation, change the Security Software settings to permit the Brother
product setup program or other program to run.
Macintosh
If using a firewall function of anti-spyware or antivirus security software,
temporarily disable it, and then install the Brother software.
Cannot connect to wireless network.
(ADS-2800W / ADS-3600W)
Check the wireless network settings.

How to check the machine’s
IP address. (ADS-2400N /
ADS-3000N)

1. Start the ControlCenter application.
2. Click the Device Settings tab.
3. Click the Scan to Net Settings button. The Web Based Management
window appears.
4. Select Network tab.
5. Click Wired.
Cannot recognise the NFC card. Set NFC to On.
Difficulty Cause Suggestions
The machine is in
Sleep Mode (power
save mode).
(ADS-2800W /
ADS-3600W)
The machine is idle and the period of
time specified by the Sleep Time setting
has elapsed.
Do one of the following:
Press .

Scan using your computer.
Open the top cover.
Load your document.
Touch the screen.
Touch an IC Card to the NFC reader.
The machine is not
turned on.
The machine was plugged in without
waiting for 60 seconds after pulling out
the plug.
Turn the machine off, wait 60 seconds, and then
turn the machine on.
The machine is in
Offline Mode.
The machine is not connected to the
computer.
Connect the machine to the computer, and then
turn the machine on.
