Before Scanning 4
Before scanning, confirm the following:
Make sure you have installed the scanner driver by following the steps in the Quick Setup Guide.
If your Brother machine is connected via a network cable, make sure the interface cable is physically
secure.

This product includes a computer licence for up to two users.
This licence supports the installation of the scanner driver including Nuance™ PaperPort™ 14SE on up to
two computers on the network.
Configure Network Scanning for Windows

If using a machine different from the one that was originally registered to your computer during the installation
of the scanner driver, follow the steps below:

Click (Brother Utilities) on your desktop, and then click the drop-down list and select your
model name (if not already selected). Click Scan in the left navigation bar, and then click Scanners
and Cameras.

Click (Start) menu, select Control Panel > click Scanners and Cameras.
