Replacing the belt unit 5

A new belt unit can print approximately 50,000 pages (5 pages per job)

Belt unit life is approximate and may vary by type of use.

If the LCD displays Belt End Soon, it means the belt unit is near the end of its life. Buy a new belt unit and
have it ready before you get a Replace Belt message. To replace the belt unit, see Replacing the belt unit
on page 135.

When the following message appears on the LCD, you must replace the belt unit:

IMPORTANT
• DO NOT touch the surface of the belt unit. If you touch it, it could degrade print quality.
• Damage caused by incorrect handling of the belt unit may void your warranty.

b Press the front cover release button and pull open the front cover.
