To set the Receive Mode, follow the instructions:
a Press (Settings).
b Press All Settings.
c Press a or b to display Fax.
d Press Fax.
e Press a or b to display Setup Receive.
f Press Setup Receive.
g Press a or b to display Receive Mode.
h Press Receive Mode.
NOTE
If you cannot change the Receive Mode, make sure the Distinctive Ring feature is set to Off.

i Press a or b to display Fax Only, Fax/Tel, External TAD or Manual, and then press
the option you want.

Receive Modes overview 10
Some Receive Modes answer automatically (Fax Only and Fax/Tel). You may want to change
the Ring Delay before using these modes. (See Ring Delay on page 32.)
Fax Only 10
Fax Only mode will automatically answer every call as a fax call.
Fax/Tel 10
Fax/Tel mode recognizes and manages incoming fax and voice calls:
Faxes will be received automatically.
Voice calls will start the F/T Ring to alert you to answer the call. The F/T Ring is a fast
pseudo/double-ring made by your machine.
