To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, and injury to people;
• Use only a No. 26 AWG or larger telecommunication line cord.
Disconnect device
This product must be installed near an AC power outlet that is easily accessible. In case of an
emergency, you must unplug the power cord from the AC power outlet to shut off the power
completely.
For protection against the risk of electrical shock, always disconnect all cables from the wall
outlet before the equipment is installed, serviced, or modified.
IMPORTANT
• This equipment may not be used on coin service lines provided by the telephone company
or connected to party lines.
• Brother cannot accept any financial or other responsibilities that may be the result of your

• A grounded plug should be plugged into a grounded AC power outlet after checking the
rating of the local power supply for the product to operate properly and safely.

When programming emergency numbers or making test calls to emergency numbers:
• Remain on the line and briefly explain to the dispatcher the reason for the call before
hanging up.
• Perform these activities in the off-peak hours, such as early morning or late evening.
