Terms and Conditions on the built-in patterns

The cutting machine has built-in patterns. Brother Industries, Ltd. (“Brother”) or its

licensor owns the copyright and any other intellectual property rights of such built-in

patterns (“Built-in patterns”). Subject to the terms and conditions as provided below,

Brother grants to customer the right to use the Built-in patterns.

Before using the Built-in patterns, the customer must agree to these terms of use. The

customer shall be deemed to have accepted these terms of use by using the Built-in

patterns made available to the customer.

1. The customer may use and edit the Built-in patterns for the sole purpose of

cutting paper, fabric and other materials with using one cutting machine (including

drawing the Built-in patterns on such materials with an optional accessory pen).

2. The copyright notice of the Built-in patterns which Brother’s licensor owns

cutting machine (hereinafter such Built-in patterns are referred to as “Licensor’s

patterns”).

The customer is prohibited from assigning, selling, renting, distributing or

otherwise transfering for a prot hand-made craftwork items using the Licensor’s

patterns (including cut-out patterns made according to section 1 and hand-made

craftwork items using such cut-out patterns).

The customer may assign, sell, rent, distribute or otherwise transfer for a prot

hand-made craftwork items using the Built-in patterns, excluding Licensor’s

patterns, including cut-out patterns made according to section 1 and hand-made

craftwork items using such cut-out patterns.

3. With respect to all Built-in patterns, the customer hereby agrees:

(1) not to use or edit the Built-in patterns for any purpose other than the purpose

as provided in section 1;

(2) not to assign, sell, rent, distribute, sublicense or otherwise transfer the Built-in

patterns itself; and

(3) not to decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer or translate the Built-in

patterns.
