AMF 82-90, 8800 Gold and 82-90XL Pinsetters do not include a mechanism to turn the machine On or Off by
way of direct connection to the pinsetter’s electronics. Instead, this model of Pinsetter in controlled via a small
interface box on the Control Counter, called the Managers Control Unit (MCU). Center Command includes software
to connect a USB to RS-422 serial converter from a computer to the MCU. This software runs on the Windows
System Tray (Systray) and sends commands to the MCU to tell it to turn the 82-90 machines on and off at the
appropriate time.
