Information on Nano Technology

NanoShell finish.
Nanotechnology relates to the production, research and use of extremely small structures on the
atomic and molecular levels.
The word 'nano' comes from the Greek language and means “dwarf.” (Nain)
One nanometer (nm) equals one millionth of a millimeter, or one ten-thousandth of the thickness
of a human hair.
One nanometer represents four to six atoms.
Particles on a nano scale, so called “nano particles” or polymers (smaller than 100nm), are the
building blocks of this technology.
Nano particles are either water- or alcohol-based and consist primarily of four materials
ceramics, diamonds, silver and glassthat interact differently depending on the surface to be
treated.
Through self-organizing anti-adhesion components, the nano particles form an invisible barrier.
Only the nano particles remain on the sealed surfaces, while the water or alcohol evaporates.
Hardwood Floors:
High-trafficked areas in homes are particularly susceptible to shoe scuffs and marks, and slops
and spills are similarly inevitable.
Help prevent damage that would otherwise be incurred by normal wear and tear with Nano
Flooring. The invisible coating it forms prevents liquids from seeping through surface pores and
facilitates the easy removal of scuffs and other marks.
Functional coatings with Nano-accuracy:
Due to the very thin layer, the Nanofinish coating doesn't change the dimensions or tolerances of
the substrate, and is very resistant to infiltration.
A damage in the coated surface normally lead to infiltration of the protective layer. In case of
Nanofinish the damage will remain local as no infiltration will occur.
Nano Flooring Sealant uses nanotechnology to protect virtually every type of flooring material from
weathering, corrosion, bacteria, dirt, grime and other pollutants, helping ensure such surfaces
remain clean, scuff-free, and looking new longer
Advantages:
Helps prevent against dirt, weathering and other contaminants. Ideal protection against bacteria
and other germs. Water, oil and other aqueous solutions are simply repelled . Sealed surfaces
are easily cleaned with water. Chemical and/or aggressive cleaning agents are not necessary
Long-lasting sealant. Saves time and money spent on cleaning agents
