To unlock the keypad
Press and hold the button.
You can now use the keypad
again.

You hear the dial tone.
Key the number you want.
To make a call
Key the number you want.
Use the
CLEAR CHARACTER
button on the display to
correct any number you press
by mistake.
Press the
GREEN PHONE
button.
The number is dialled.

Lift the handset off the base
station or charger.

Note
The default setting is for an immediate
connection to callers when lifting the
handset from the base station or charger.
This is called Auto Talk. It can be
deactivated so that you always have to
press the GREEN PHONE button to
answer a call. See page 37.
To lock the keypad
This prevents you accidentally
operating the handset’s
keypad when carrying it
around. You can receive calls,
but cannot make calls.
