Replacing the handset batteries
After a time, you may find that the handset batteries are running out of charge more quickly.
This is a standard sign of wear and the batteries will need replacing.
1. Unscrew and remove the belt clip and battery compartment cover. You can use a coin if you
don’t have a screwdriver handy.
2. Remove the old batteries.
3. Make sure the battery ribbon is laying flat inside the battery compartment and insert 2 x AAA
NiMH 550mAh rechargeable batteries observing the polarity markings (+ and -).
4. Replace the battery cover: hook the two plastic clips into place first, then lower and screw the
cover into place.
5. Finally, screw back the belt clip.
Note
Spare rechargeable batteries are available from the BT Elements Helpline 0800 145 6789*.
