Handset range The handset reception range from the base is up to 300m outdoors and up to 50m indoors. Thick stone walls can severely affect the range. Signal strength The symbol on your handset screen indicates when you are in range.

Slide the battery compartment cover into place. When the handset is in the base or charger, the red Charging light stays on and the battery icon in the display continues to cycle from 1 to 3 bars even when the batteries are full charged.

It also enables other people in the room to listen to your conversation over the loudspeaker. Range Indicator The icon on the display indicates when you are in range of the base. If the symbol flashes and you hear a warning beep, you are out of range and will need to move closer to the base.

If you subscribe to Caller Display, you can see your caller’s number (provided it is not withheld) on your handset display before you answer the call.

If you have purchased a Twin, Trio or Quad the handsets in these packs are pre-registered to the main base. However, if you purchase additional BT Freestyle 2200 handsets separately you will need to register them to the base first for them to work.

If there is a handset in the base remove it whilst you are registering the new handset. 2. Set the handset to be registered into registration mode (see user guide for that handset). When it asks for a PIN, enter .

Replacing the handset batteries After a time, you may find that the handset batteries are running out of charge more quickly. This is a standard sign of wear and the batteries will need replacing. 1.

All items of telephone equipment have a Ringer Equivalence Number (REN), which is used to calculate the number of items which may be connected to any other telephone line. Your BT Freestyle 2200 has a REN of 1. A total REN of 4 is allowed. If the total REN of 4 is exceeded, the telephone may not ring.
