Know the facts about faucet aerators….
EPA - WaterSense: Looking at plumbing products
The Environmental Protecon Agency created the
WaterSense program to encourage the development
of safe water ecient plumbing products.
WaterSense products use signicantly less water but
perform as well or beer than convenonal ones.
Lavatory faucets (and faucet aerators)
WaterSense lowers the maximum ow rate from 2.2 gpm (EPAct'92)
to 1.5 gallons per minute at 60 psi 30% reducon and sets a minimum
ow rate of 0.8 gpm at 20 psi.
Residential water use
The average family of four uses 400 gallons of water every day, and
spends over $800 per year on water and
sewer charges. On average, approximately
70 percent of that water is used indoors.
Installing high efficiency plumbing fixtures
can help reduce indoor water use by
one-third, saving over $100 per year on
their water and sewer bill.

Super Saving PCA
1.0 gpm
New water saving kitchen faucets come with a 2.2 gpm aerator
and a bathroom faucet with a 1.5 gpm or lower. If you have a
higher ow rate, you should replace your aerator.
Kitchen and bathroom aerators are inexpensive and simple screw
in faucet aachments.
Changing your faucet aerator can save you up to 75% water and
energy.

Flow Restricted and Pressure Compensang Aerators
In addition to flow restricted aerators (aerators in which the water
flow varies depending on water pressure), NEOPERL®
also offers a pressure compensating (PCA®) faucet
aerator that maintains a constant and comfortable
water flow, for use in the kitchen or bathroom
(ranging from a low flow to a standard flow).
Steps to Make the Right Choice for your home needs.
Step 1: Faucet Insert Type
SLC
®
Easy Cleaning
Lime build-up on wire mesh aerator screens dramacally shortens
the life of faucet aerators. Sediments and
corrosion in water pipes can cause your aerator
to perform poorly.
NEOPERL's SLC® is the only faucet aerator with
a silicone construcon to eliminate lime and scale
build up. Simply rub the boom of the aerator
with the p of your nger.
Adjustable Stream Faucet Aerator (SSR)
Water stream direcon problems?
Some combinations of sink and faucet are visually
pleasing, but not ideal for hand washing.
NEOPERLs SSR faucet aerators, you
can easily adjust the stream
direction and eliminate splashing
from the curvature of the sink.
Auto - Clean
Debris / Sediments problems?
Although filtering of sediments in the dome is a better
solution then the wire mesh aerator for areas with
low debris/sediment in the water, the dome screen
can quickly become clogged.
The PCA
®
Auto Clean, accumulates the sediments
in the dome screen until the faucet is shut off. The
sediments will be flushed within the first few
seconds of opening the faucet.
