Check the magnesium anodes for decomposition.
When the diameter is reduced to approx. 5/8" (15 mm), replace the
magnesium anode.
Screw the magnesium anodes back into the cover.

Check the magnesium anode installed from the side
Drain the DHW tank as described in the 9.1 chapter.
Remove cleanout cover ( Fig. 19, page 16), if it is not already
removed.
Check the magnesium anodes.
When the diameter is reduced to approx. 5/8" (15 mm), replace the
magnesium anode.
To loosen the eyelet for the grounding cable [8], unscrew nut M8 [9].
Undo nut M8 [7].
Remove cleanout cover [3] from magnesium anode [1].
Install new magnesium anode with the aid of the hardware provided.

9.4 Re-commissioning after performing maintenance
Put the cleanout cover [4] back in place together with the new gasket
[2].
Thread hex bolts [5] into cleanout cover [4] "hand-tight".
Then use a torque wrench to tighten the hex bolts to 18-22 lbf-ft
(25 – 30 Nm).
Fill the DHW tank and restart the heating system.
Check all connections and the inspection port for leaks.
Replace the cleanout cover shroud.
Reinstall the PS jacket cover ( Fig. 2, page 5) on the DHW tank.

CAUTION: Risk of tank damage from a faulty gasket!
To prevent the DHW tank from leaking, install a new
cleanout cover gasket upon completion of cleaning
and maintenance.
